TDG Ibernavitas Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Zaragoza to Create a Collaboration Chair during the “China-Spain Science and Technology Cooperation Theme Day”
In Zaragoza, September 25, 2024 – In the framework of the China-Spain Science and Technology Cooperation Theme Day event, TDG IBERNAVITAS and University of Zaragoza formalized their alliance by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that contemplates the creation of a joint chair. This agreement represents a strategic step to promote research, talent development and knowledge transfer between both institutions, strengthening the ties between the business sector and academia. The signing took place in the presence of prominent leaders and personalities. Among the attendees were the Chinese Ambassador to Spain, Carlos Gimeno, Councilor of the Zaragoza City Council, as well as the Rector and Vice Rector of the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR), who endorsed the commitment to boost cooperation between the two countries in key areas of science and technology.
Objectives of the New Chair
The main mission of the Chair will be:
- Promote applied research in renewable energies, which will benefit both the university and TDG IBERNAVITAS, promoting the development of innovative solutions to current challenges.
- Facilitate the development of highly qualified talent, providing students and teachers with access to tools and practical experiences that will allow them to complement their academic training with skills for the world of work.
- Promote the transfer of knowledge and technology between the academic and business environments, contributing to the creation of new opportunities for innovation.
This Memorandum of Understanding marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will seek not only to generate benefits for both institutions, but also to contribute to the development of relevant solutions for society as a whole. With this alliance, TDG IBERNAVITAS and the University of Zaragoza hope to establish a cooperation model that can be replicated in other areas and serve as an example for future collaborative initiatives between the business and academic spheres.
